Partners
Each of the Lankon Group‟s clients is seen as a partner in the learning and development process. This ensures that the interests of all parties are achieved. Key strategic partnerships have been formed with the Consumer Goods Council of South Africa and Student Village. This has resulted in the formation of the South African Institute for Consumer Research and the Student Village Academy.
South African Institute for Consumer Research (SAICR)
The SAICR was born out of the urgent need from both government and the private sector in the consumer goods industry to facilitate best practices, succession planning and career-pathing within the industry in South Africa. The institute addresses these challenges by sourcing, training, developing and equipping people within the sector with the relevant skills and knowledge that will enhance their growth and development. This allows and qualifies them to play greater and more meaningful roles in areas where there is a scarcity of key black role players across all levels, from entry through to executive level.
The following courses, amongst other, are offered by the SAICR:
- Introduction to GS1 Global Bar Code Standards and Systems
- Understanding GDS (Global Data Synchronisation)
- Understanding RFID & EPCGlobal
- The Global Scorecard
Student Village Academy
Student Village Academies are a ground-breaking and exciting initiative providing graduates with unique combinations of skills specific to the requirements of their chosen industry. The academies are the brainchild of a partnership between Student Village and the Lankon Group, and are the primary conduit for graduates and current employees of companies to develop in a hub of learning.
The academies provide corporate clients with a powerful vehicle to customize graduate training programmes for their new recruits, as well as current employees. This bridges the divide between what graduates know and what they can do for their companies.
Both the Lankon Group and Student Village have been focused on assisting companies achieve their strategic aims through marketing and organizational development. The partnering of these two dynamic companies was therefore a logical next step in the process of growing other companies through the development of bright young minds.
